We replace those with heavyweight architectural shingle or designer shingle depending on the look the owner wants. Designer asphalt (Landmark TL, Grand Manor, Camelot II) gives you a slate-look profile at one-fifth the cost of real slate, and runs forty to fifty years instead of twenty-five.

If you live in the WingHaven Country Club gated section, we have done enough work back there that we know the HOA's roofing color palette and which builders used cedar shake originally.
