Roofing in
University City.
University City is thirty-eight minutes from our shop and one of the most architecturally consistent early-1900s neighborhoods in the inner ring. University Heights and Ames Place especially have a high concentration of 1910-1930s homes still on their original slate, copper, and tile.

Working in University City
University City is regular slate territory for us. The University Heights and Ames Place districts were laid out as planned residential places and the homes were built to match, with steep complex pitches, soldered copper valleys, and natural slate or clay tile. Many of those roofs are at the hundred-year mark and failing at the south slope or at specific flashing details. We handle full re-slates, partial course-up restorations, and copper-detail repair in-house rather than subcontracting.
Parts of University City sit under local historic review, which constrains what you can put back. We know which designer-slate profiles (DaVinci Slate, Brava Old World Slate) typically pass as a natural-slate alternative in these districts and which do not, so the proposal you get is one that will clear the board. If your house has slate that is mostly sound with a few failed slopes, we will often re-roof just the failing slope with matched material rather than tearing off the whole roof.

University City roof visit
A project consultant, in your driveway, inside a week.
Free inspection. No salespeople. The project consultant walks the roof, the attic, and the ground, and ends the visit with one of three answers: a repair quote, a replacement quote, or “you don't need us yet.”
