What it is

## A laminated shingle built to read like cedar shake.

Luxury shingles stack multiple laminate layers to throw a real shadow line across the roof. CertainTeed Presidential and the designer profiles carry the depth of a hand-split shake or a slate field, but install over the same deck as a standard architectural roof. We tear off, lay synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water every valley and eave, and set the field to exact manufacturer specification.

### The depth comes from real layers, not a printed pattern.

A luxury shingle is physically thicker than an architectural shingle. Stacked laminate layers cast a shadow that moves with the sun, which is what reads as cedar or slate from the street.

Method

### Fastened to spec, copper at every penetration.

Every course is fastened to exact manufacturer specification, from the starter to the ridge. Chimneys and sidewalls get copper flashing, soldered where it counts, not caulk over a step joint.
